What’s covered?
Swift Certified Specialists are consultants or technical specialists who have passed our examination of their knowledge of specific Swift services and products, so they can provide the right level of advice or implementation support to customers. Clear criteria are set and re-evaluated every year to ensure alignment with market needs.
How to apply for Swift Specialist certification
1. Register
If your organisation has not already registered under our Swift Partner Programme, you’ll need to do this first. You can do this here.
2. Please read carefully the following documents
- The Swift Certified Specialist Programme overview
- The track criteria document
3. Submit a business case
Once you’re clear you’ve understood all the details of the Swift Certified Specialist Programme, the individual applicant must define a business case in the specific services area related to his/her certification interest track. The business case should take into account the benefit provided to the Swift community and the investment required by the individual and their employer to achieve certification. Please send your business case via email to swift.certification.and.compatibility.office@swift.com
We may require applicants to provide relevant customer (or prospective customer) references.
4. Complete and submit the application form
Once Swift has received and validated the business case, you’ll need to complete and submit the Swift Certified Specialist application form for certification. Click on the e-form link below.(1) This registration is only required once per service provider entity.
5. Complete the required validation process
The applicant will need to take and pass the examination procedure as laid down in the certification track criteria documentation. Each track will require a different path of examinations and certification pre-requisites. Please check the relevant document for more specific information.
